Martyr's Land (Veer Bhumi) – Hamirpur

Description

Hamirpur is the smallest district but is the only district that has beaten the record of having the largest number of roads in Asia. The land is associated with the Katoch dynasty very closely. Hamirpuris, being fighter, form bulks of Dogra Regiment, the grenadiers, Jammu and Kashmir Rifles Punjab regiment, Rajput regiment as well as Hodson's Horse and Scinde Horse.
The elevation of district is 785 meters and shares border with, Mandi, Bilaspur, Una, and Kangra. The pine forests are found in considerable amount. The climate isn’t hilly & chilly types but closer to plains’ climate.
